Powertrain and Performance

LFA’s incredibly responsive design is able to rev from idle to its 9,000 rpm redline in .6 seconds. Low friction, motor-sports developed components push max power and torque to 552hp at 8,700 rpm. Equally impressive is LFA’s compact design. Lexus 4.8L V10 is as small as a traditional V8 with the weight of the average V6, while generating an impressive 1.9 hp per cubic inch. Extreme power combined with ultra light weight rockets the LFA to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and pulls out its potential speed of 202mph.
LFA’s lightening quick six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox always puts the driver in control while Lexus’ unique paddle shift offers the choice of seven speeds. Suspension and Brakes
The 2011 Lexus LFA has a unique double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension layout with aluminum alloy construction in order to yield high agility and low weight. Full floating disc construction negates high temperature expansion. Despite its sports car styling, LFA is ever mindful of safety.
